The Best Brunch in Chicago

Restaurant: Meli Cafe and Juice Bar
If you come to Meli's at 12pm on any Saturday, you are guaranteed to see me there. The daily specials here are mouth watering and the best thing about it is they change EVERY week. The omelets are fresh and the ingredients are cooked to perfection. The Grilled Chicken Sandwich is extremely tasty and the fries are hot and salted just right. They always have a new soup on the menu, always with fresh ingredients. The service is wonderful and well worth the 30 min wait, which is the norm on a weekend. Hands down the best brunch I have had in the city.

Restaurant: Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab
I've been to Gibsons, Mastros, Chop House, Tavern, David Burkes...none of them come remotely close to having as tasty of a steak as Joes. Plain and simple. GO

LOVE LOVE LOVE

Restaurant: Carnivale
Carnivale is one of my favorite places in the city. From the second you walk in to the minute you leave, your every sense is tickled. The atmosphere is great. Large open areas, lots of fun things to look at, very vibrant and colorful. The bar in the front is as big as some entire restaurants. They have every kind of liquor imaginable. The mojitos are wonderful and the frozen sangria is to DIE FOR, especially the white wine sangria. Once you are seated, the room just smells of heaven. Lots of flavors and colors. The chips and guacamole are so fresh and the Ropa Viaje appetizer is the best app in the city. Sweet plantains, braised beef, spicy mayo, queso fresco YUM YUM YUM Any meal you get is a guarantee hit. I promise you this is the place to go for a fun and delightful meal.

Great Food, OK atmosphere

Restaurant: Big Star
I had VERY high hopes for Big Star, as tons of my friends swear by it. The tacos were great, but I would stick to JUST the tacos. The hotdog is a fan favorite but I just didn't see the appeal. There was to many condiments on it to even enjoy the dog. The atmosphere was laid back but very stiff. The bar has large sky lights which is nice to let some sun in, but half of the table had to wear their sunglasses the whole meal bc it was glaring through. The music was BLASTING in our ears as well. The tacos were very good though. They change their menu often so hopefully there is more to come. I will say that their outdoor area is HUGE so once the summer hits, I will have to try this place on more time.

West Loop Mexican done RIGHT

Restaurant: De Cero
De Cero is a casual restaurant located in the west loop. They have a large menu consisting of over 15 different tacos. At times service can be average at best, but they make up for it with their wide variety of tacos and tequila. If you have a few drinks the price can start to get out of hand, but if you are just going for food, you will be pleased.
