Description

Franks 'N' Dawgs facebook page states: We're foodies first and foremost. We live to find the finest street food and discover new flavor sensations. We love to tinker and we love to experiment. But most of all, we pride ourselves on producing original hot dog recipes that'll put a smile on your face, and whats more, keep it there. So whether it's our handcrafted gourmet sausages, that are grilled to perfection, or our hand cut fries, you can be assured that only the most careful thought and care has gone into their preparation. It's all in the details; like our artisan bread, baked fresh everyday and gently toasted (because it imparts more flavor). It's the fanaticism; like our gourmet sauces that are made specially to pair with each gourmet hot dog and sausage combination It's our experience; we only hire talented Chefs to create the menu and grill our food so while we're not charging like a 5 Star restaurant, you're getting the 5 Star taste experience! But hey, why take our word on it. Head on over and try us for your self. Because if our gourmet hot dogs and sausages ain't enough to bowl you over, our chocolate bread pudding is sure to make you want to come back for more.

Overview
We kind of got out of control here....in a good way... Because there were four of us, we decided to order a few things and share around the table. After very tough decisions on all of our parts, we settled with: The Brunch Dog (Slagel farms pork loin breakfast sausage with Cobb smoked bacon, fried egg & drizzled with maple mayo) The Krazy Kimchi (Spicy beef sausage, braised short rib & turnips, kimchi, wild rice & basil) A Dawg Flight (3 chef's choice dogs) The truffle mac-n-cheese, AND the fries (twice fried- and yum). Everything was amazing, and we had to go for a looong walk after we ate- talk about stuffed to satisfaction!

Overview
Sweet gentle Jesus this place is good! Kudos to owner Alex Brunacci and chef Joe Doren for putting five-star dining on a bun, then in my belly. I am totally smitten with the N'awlins Dawg (andouille sausage, polenta battered okra, fried shrimp, spicy ketchup & chives) and the Lyonnaise Fries (hand cut fries, braised pig cheek, arugula, poached egg & a dijon mustard vinaigrette). My dining partner was equally wooed (and blissfully comatose) after braving a "holy trinity" comprised of the Ruben Pulaski (Polish sausage, sauerkraut, whole seed mustard, 1000 island dressing, potato cake & chives) the Le Merguez (lamb merguez sausage, pear chutney, Stilton cheese, black pepper greek yogurt, sumac, toasted pistachios & mint) and Tripple Truffle Fries. Amen! On my "to do" list: Burger Dawg, Brunch Dawg, Tur-Doggin, Truffle Mac-n-cheese Brat, and the Franks 'n' Beans (if I can muster the maturity to order it without doing an impression of Warren from "There's Something About Mary").
